Create a Medal and Ribbon Proof

This example is 3.625" in diameter with a front and back design. The flag colors are painted and the black components will be sculpted into 3D designs.

Create the Mold

Our expert artists create a mold from our proof and our ribbon factory starts production.

Strike the Medal

Using the new mold, we use a die-striking process to create the medal.

Electroplating

Electroplating the medal gives the zinc the Gold, Silver or Bronze coating.

GENERAL INFO

Our minimum order quantity is 300 in any combination of Gold, Silver or Bronze.

All new customers receive a free and reusable front mold. These molds can take an additional three weeks to produce.

We have a 100% on-time delivery rate for our medal orders. New orders should be placed at least two months prior to the event date. Reorders should allow for six weeks for turnover.

Once shipped, our air transit time is typically three to four days.

There are no sales taxes outside of Pennsylvania, United States. The customer is responsible for any duty fees and VAT.

Quality Control

We inspect the final medal to ensure that our high quality expectations have been met.

Apply Paint

The final step of the medal is the painting and drying process, giving the award a vibrant look.

Assemble and Ship

Ribbons are assembled to each medal and the order is packed and sent off for delivery.

By providing the information in the checklist below, order custom award medals is a simple process. Once shipped, our transit time is approximately three to four days. We require a minimum order of 300 medals in any combination of Gold, Silver or Bronze and a 50% downpayment for the order. New customers receive a free front mold that can be used for any future order. Orders should be placed at a minimum of two months prior to your event. Final payment is due on delivery.

Types of Ribbon Processing

Standard Ribbons

Our standard ribbons are high quality, durable material with the ability to print Korean, Chinese, or English words and characters. The ribbon and text is limited to a single color. Olympic style molds will have the ribbon sewn onto the medal at the factory.

Heat Transfer Ribbons

The heat transfer process allows us to print onto the ribbon. The texture is smoother and thinner, but this method permits sponsors, logos, or more to be printed onto the ribbon. Ribbons can have stripes or bars (similar to Master belts) for a unique look.

Custom Award Medal Design Tips

Print the event date on the ribbon and not the mold so you can reuse your mold on any future order.

Balance the use of paint color and medal plating (Gold, Silver or Bronze). A medal that is too heavily painted will be hard to tell what place it is representing.

A back mold is a smart way to add an association logo or a 3D image of a VIP. Some clients use the back mold to combine an association logo with the place of the medal.
